Unlocking the Font of Life Perk in Blood of Dawnwalker
Getting Started with Coen in the Daylight
So, you think fighting Coen in the bright light of day means he’s just a cuddly toy? Wrong! Sure, he might not have those nasty claws or the ability to teleport into your nightmares, but he’s still quite the menace. You’ll have to put your sword skills and a sprinkle of witchcraft to good use, but you can take down some hefty foes as a mere human, especially when you’re packing the Font of Life perk.
Unlocking the Perk
Alright, here’s the deal: The Font of Life perk is like that magical cherry on top of your combat sundae. It gives our buddy Coen passive health regeneration during those sunny escapades, meaning you can keep the party going longer and not worry about lugging around a mini pharmacy in your backpack. But—there’s a catch! You gotta complete two specific quests to snag this beauty: Where Old Devils Lie and Stronger Than Achilles.
This duo of quests kicks off once you wrap up the convent saga with Anca. Brace yourself for some investigation, a few brawls, and yeah, definitely some of that good ol’ pillar touching (don’t ask, it’s a thing).
Now, after finishing Stronger Than Achilles, you’ve got some choices to make. You can keep the Font for yourself, hand it over to Anca, or even smash it to bits! Each option leads to different endings, but hey, you still get a shiny legendary light chestpiece, Runic Enchantment, just for participating in this little adventure. If you’re after a full legendary set and don’t care much for the Font of Life perk, go ahead and destroy it for the Ancient Greaves. But really, the perk is a blast!
In the end, Anca will be pleased with whatever decision you make, so there’s no pressure on the storytelling front. It all boils down to your play style and current needs.
