According to Andrew ‘Toast’ Eldred, our fearless Community Manager, this scaly menace has been acting more like an impenetrable wall than a fearsome foe. They’ve heard the complaints and are working on making this fight more about skill and less about frustration. The arena where this showdown takes place is getting a makeover; it’ll be deeper, giving you a fighting chance at not plummeting into oblivion. Plus, they’ve squashed some of those pesky bugs that had the dragon stuck or its health inexplicably reset. No more dragon teleportation surprises!

Boss Battles & Player Choices

But wait, there’s more! Stunning the Fell Dragon Youngling? It’s about to get a whole lot simpler. And when you land that hit, it’ll stay down longer for some extra smack talk—but with a twist, of course; its damage resistance will get a little boost to keep things spicy. You can take a shot at its weak spot, which is now vulnerable no matter which weapon you choose. Oh, and just when you thought things couldn’t get crazier, a new combat phase is dropping in where the dragon casually lands on your platform. This means melee fighters will have a fighting chance. Eldred even mentioned you can parry its projectiles right back at it. Who knew dragons could be such great targets?

Worried about dying mid-fight? Good news! If you bite the dust, the bosses will heal slowly instead of springing back to full health in a heartbeat. This gives you a shot at racing back into the fray and resuming your battle against them. They’re currently fine-tuning this feature, so expect the team to keep an ear out for your feedback!

Another point that players have been vocal about is the updrafts for gliders feeling a bit sluggish with Update 8. Fear not, brave adventurers! The team is including a quick toggle option in the settings. You can switch to the old, speedy updrafts if you’re feeling nostalgic, or stick with the current ones if that’s how you roll—no judgment here!

For those who love the charming, hobbit-like characters, there’s a new ‘realistic’ look creeping into the game. Want to swap to a more heroic vibe? Now’s your chance! But don’t worry; the classic look isn’t being scrapped just yet. You can switch back whenever your inner hobbit calls!

Eldred acknowledged this mess and confirmed they’ve tackled all known issues causing these digital pals to act like they’re in a game of hide and seek. Last but not least, let’s talk fishing! Because who doesn’t love a good getaway to fish like there’s no tomorrow? Fishing is getting a major overhaul (cue applause!). Your bait choices will sway the types of fish that swim into your net. Select the right bait from the biome, and voilà—you’re a fishing legend! Although location doesn’t alter the chances of catching fish, you might find treasure in certain spots. So, grab your rod and get ready to snag some loot!
