Crafting Gunpowder in Windrose: A Pirate’s Guide to Boom!
Arrr! Let’s Talk Gunpowder
Ahoy matey! So, you’re itching to unleash some serious firepower in Windrose, huh? Well, first things first: you need to get your hands on some elusive gunpowder. Once you’ve gotten cozy with your shiny new guns and taken down a few scallywags from a safe distance, you’ll find that the pirate life offers a little less sword fighting and a lot more bang for your buck. That said, gunpowder is as hard to find as a needle in a haystack—if that needle were also super volatile!
How to Get Your Powder Poppin’
Now, listen up! The secret to crafting gunpowder is to combine the magical mix of sulfur and ash at the Millstone crafting spot—sounds fancy, right? Well, you’ll be a crafting wizard in no time! Ash is a by-product from making charcoal, so don’t worry if you have heaps of it lying around. But here’s the kicker: you’ll need sulfur and an iron pickaxe, which means a little questing is in order!
To score some sulfur, you’ll first need to craft said iron pickaxe. And to get iron, you’ll have to visit the Foothills biome. But beware! You’ll need to deal with Thomas, the Coastal threat, to gain access to this treasure trove of resources. Once you’ve taken him down (goodbye, Thomas!), head to the Foothills, gather iron, and craft that shiny iron pickaxe. Now, you’re ready to mine sulfur like your life depends on it!
With all of that finally in the bag, head over to your Millstone and mix it up. Voila! You now have enough gunpowder to take down any foe that crosses your path!
If you haven’t unlocked the Foothills yet but want to show off those guns, fear not! Gunpowder can sometimes be found in pirate camps, and those pesky pirate foes have a chance of dropping some too. So, while you’re exploring, keep an eye out for treasure chests and those pesky question marks on the map!
Now that you’re equipped with all this knowledge, go forth and create chaos in Windrose! Just remember, a good pirate always knows how to handle their boomsticks!
