New Fallout Clip Sparks Nostalgia for New Vegas Fans

Alright, Fallout fans, grab your Nuka-Cola and settle in because we’ve got a juicy sneak peek of the upcoming Fallout Season 2 premiering on December 17! Prime Video has just released a clip that’ll throw you right back into the chaotic charm of New Vegas.

In this short clip, our favorite wasteland survivor Lucy is perched inside the mouth of the iconic Dinky the T-Rex. If you’ve ever strolled through Novac, you know Dinky keeps a watchful eye over the Dino Dee-Lite motel — not to mention that cozy little gift shop known as Dino Bite, which has also served as the sniper’s perch for Boone, the coolest companion in the game (who, let’s be real, totally deserves his own fan club).

Lucy and The Ghoul: A Wasteland Adventure!

So, what’s happening in the clip? Lucy MacLean, portrayed by the fabulous Ella Purnell, has teamed up with a character simply known as The Ghoul, played by Walton Goggins. Together, they’re cooking up a scheme that sounds like it was lifted right out of a spaghetti western. They plan to sell out The Ghoul to the Great Khans — one shady gang in the wasteland — while pocketing a tidy sum of caps.

Things take a twist though. Lucy, being the sweetheart that she is (even if she’s a former Vault-dweller), gets a case of the jitters when it’s time to shoot the rope and bust out her buddy; she’s not so keen on being a killer. So, what does she do? She flexes her speech skills and tries to charm their way out of it, suggesting the Great Khans could let them go with a side of cash. “Would it help if I said please?” she asks, and honestly, who could say no to that?

We don’t find out how her desperate plea plays out, but seeing Novac again is a delight — with its quirky signs and Boone’s high perch (though why the giant dinosaur is facing the wrong way is a mystery for the ages!). And surprise, surprise, it’s been nearly 20 years since our last road trip in New Vegas — that’s plenty of time for Boone to pick up a few hobbies while he’s waiting!

So, will we see him this season? Who knows! While we wait, I think it might be fun to speculate whether Walton Goggins would ever dive into the Fallout games. Spoiler alert: I asked him, and his answer might just surprise you!
