Zombie Shooting Mayhem Awaits

Ah, the glorious days when zombies were everywhere in the gaming world! You know, back when you could casually waste hours on Flash games, minus the guilt. I’m walking down memory lane thanks to Yet Another Zombie Defense HD, which has boldly slashed its price to a whopping zero dollars. Why? Because who doesn’t love free stuff!

So, what is this game all about? Imagine a twin-stick shooter where you have two major tasks: blasting waves of zombies at night and during the day, you’re busy building defenses, erecting barricades like you’re an architect of the apocalypse! But wait, there’s more! You also need to save up to buy a turret and then realize you also need to grab a gun to plop on top of that turret. It’s like an endless cycle of spending your hard-earned zombie-fighting bucks.

Gear Up and Get Shooting!

Plus, we’ve got local and online multiplayer, a sweet stash of weapons, and traps just waiting to be unlocked. Each mode feels like a blast from the indie past despite only being birthed in 2017. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the Steam Workshop, where you can deck out your survivor to look like Hatsune Miku, Garfield, Deadpool, or even Shrek. Because, really, who wouldn’t want to slay zombies while channeling their inner cartoon character?

Why’s this game currently free, you ask? It’s all part of a cheeky promo for the upcoming release of Yet Another Zombie Survivors—a bullet heaven extravaganza that’s gearing up to unleash all sorts of horrifying B-movie villains, like giant werewolves and mummies. Now that’s a party I want an invite to! This gem is already in early access and officially comes to life on August 20.

I’m usually not one to dive into the survivor-like genre, but there’s something utterly satisfying about offing zombies without thinking too much. That’s why I jumped at the chance to download Yet Another Zombie Defense on Steam before it slips back into the paid world after July 30.
