History
In the beginningRonimo Games was founded in 2007 by 7 enthousiastic game developers. We released our first commercial game, Swords & Soldiers, in May 2009 worldwide on WiiWare™ and later on Playstation®Network, Steam, iOS and Android. It saw incredible positive response from media and gamers from around the globe.

After the release of Swords & Soldiers, we started development on a Sidescrolling Battle Arena Game: Awesomenauts. This game released on PlayStation®Network and Xbox Live Arcade in May 2012 and was released independently on Steam in August 2012. The PlayStation®4 version of Awesomenauts Assemble! was released on March 2014, and the Xbox One version was released September 2016.
In August / September 2013, we did a successful Kickstarter campaign to finance an expansion pack called Awesomenauts: Starstorm. To date, this campaign has raised more than $500,000. This resulted in lots of great features such as a new matchmaking system, online spectator mode and Steam Workshop powered modding support.
A second expansion called Awesomenauts: Overdrive was released in spring 2016, bringing a new bundle of characters to the game. Over the years lots of free characters have also been added to the game. Combined with the expansion characters there are now almost thirty unique Awesomenauts, with more to come.
In April 2017 the move to a free-to-play model was announced to go live on May 24th. New players will start out with a batch of rotating free characters, and they can earn points to unlock new ones. Existing players kept all their characters, and were granted unique rewards.

Swords & Soldiers II
In 2015 we released Swords & Soldiers II for the Wii U™ as a timed exclusive. Swords & Soldiers II is a sequel to our debut title from 2009. Like the original the game is a 2D sidescrolling strategy game in which players build units, cast spells and build structures to overcome the enemy army and destroy their base.
Behind its beautiful handdrawn exterior lies a game of fierce tactical depth that challenges players to form their own strategies. In addition to an expansive campaign that features a great variety of battles, there's a local multiplayer mode that allows players to each have their own view of the battlefield on their own screen.
In 2018 a re-release for Steam and PlayStation®4 was announced, called Swords & Soldiers II Shawarmageddon. The most important addition for this re-release is online multiplayer!
